Faith should be strong when things go wrong,
Which is when we need it most.
No wind can blow, there’s no high or low,
But for which God paid the cost.
As the sun rides high in noonday sky,
Or rain falls from overcast,
The seasons run until life is done,
When our role on earth shall be past.
But until that time we strive to climb
Up a ladder man created.
If we trust His will we remember still
The Gospel promise related.
The human life with joy is rife
When the Cross is kept in view.
Men’s broken dreams bring tears in streams
If His Word is not taken as true.
